Richard Diebenkorn: Still Lifes and Landscapes edited by Bart Schneider
Throughout his career, Richard Diebenkorn (1922–1993) produced still lifes and landscapes in a range of media. In his introduction to this book, Sonoma painter Chester Arnold describes Diebenkorn’s landscapes and still lifes as “achievements radiant with human reflection and the gravity of knowing,” as well as “a summons to pay attention to the everyday, and a reminder of the rewards in doing so.”
Of the 101 images reproduced in this volume, nearly half are previously unpublished and available here for the first time.
Visitors can see some of Diebenkorn's original paintings in OMCA's Gallery of California Art.
